The KDI School of Policy and Management in South Korea is looking for students from around the world to study on courses starting this Autumn in Seoul. They cover a tuition, air fare and offer a monthly stipend. The deadline for applications is the 23rd March, and full information can be found here.

National Student Employment Week is now on!
We’re running our hugely successful Virtual Fair again this year. The Fair is jam packed with employers looking to recruit students for part-time, summer/vacation work as well as some offering volunteer positions
too! There are 100’s of jobs on offer whether you’re looking for a part-time job to pay your way while you’re studying or something that could lead to a graduate position it’s all in the Virtual Fair.
The site is open all week, Monday 20 to Sunday 26 February, but get in early, some of the hottest positions will expire before the week is out!

On Saturday 25th Februrary there will be a job fair at National Student Pride, taking place at the Brighton Dome from 1-5pm. Entry is free.
Employers will include Ernst & Young, IBM, Accenture and American Express. There will also be a host of local and national LGBT organisation stalls.

Australian Internships are offering a Stipended Internship Program for students who want to visit Australia and work on something related to their academic study. The stipend is $600 – $900, monthly travel and meal allowance. However, there is a registration and visa fee of about $3000.
According to the email, they’re promoting to us specifically, so the best way to find out whether a stipend is available for one of their internships is to contact them and say you’re from Sussex.

IT’s not just forboys is a one day event run in London that gives women studying IT a chance to learn more about job hunting and (more importantly) gives them a chance to network with, and learn more about, industry experts.
Places are by application only, so this is a good chance to stand out as an excellent candidate for employers. You can apply on the website with a CV and Covering letter, and of course, we can help you write these if you like.

Eduwise Limited are offerring a chance to do a partially funded five week Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) course. This TEFL course is accredited by Trinity College, London.
The deal is this, you go and work for Eduwise for five weeks helping to mentor people in using the English language. This work is voluntary, but at the end of it you get a TEFL qualification. The course normally costs £950, but by working through it the course will only cost £195, and the course is free if you are currently claiming unemployment benefits.
Eduwise helps find volunteers places to stay with families in the local area and courses run throughout the year in Reading and Witney. To apply, send a CV and covering letter to marianne@ltd-oxford.com (for the Witney course) or sue@ltd-oxford.com (for the Reading Course).

The School of Advanced Study, University of London has available a number of Studentships starting in October 2012 for both research (MPhil/PhD /doctoral) and Master’s degrees under the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Block Grant Partnerships (BGP) scheme to Home/EU students, both full- and part-time, registered at one of the institutes of the School from the following subject areas:
In addition to this, the School will offer up to two Doctoral Studentships awarded on a competitive basis to Home/EU or Overseas students, both full- and part-time, registered at one of the School’s institutes, to commence in October 2012.
AHRC BGP Studentships cover fees and maintenance allowance. A full Studentship is offered to those meeting UK residency criteria. EU nationals resident in the EU/EEA are eligible for a fees-only Studentship.
School Doctoral Studentships cover tuition fees and a maintenance grant. Students assessed for fees at the Overseas rate will be required to pay the difference between the Overseas and Home/EU fee. Only those students about to start their first year of study are eligible.
The current maintenance rates for both Studentships are £15,590 full-time and £9,355 part-time. Rates may be subject to change.
The closing date for applications is 19 March 2012.

For those of you who wish to study for a Master’s Degree and/or Doctoral Degree may want to consider doing so at Beihang University in China - many Postgraduate courses for overseas students will be funded by the Chinese Government Scholarships.
The Chinese Government Scholarships is a scholarship programme that covers tuition fees, living allowance, normal medical service, comprehensive insurance, etc., but not international travel expenses. Master and PhD studies supported by the programme will begin in early September 2012 at Beihang University. The total duration of study is 2-3 years for master programs and 3- 4 years for PhD programs.
