Want to work in TV comedy? This BAFTA competition could launch your career

Here’s an interesting thing: the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) wants to give unsigned comedy talents a chance to work in US television.
To enter, produce a ten minute extract of a sit-com or sketch show, three of the best entrants will win entry to the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at the Annual New York Television Festival, which is running 22-27 October. These contestants will also win:
- A chance to have their routines performed by professional actors for an audience of industry expert
- Access to all festival premieres, hospitality events, panels, screenings and special one-on-one meetings with US TV development executives
- Membership to the organisation that distributes scripts in the run up to the film festival, so that your work will be promoted to TV executives
- A networking worskshop and mentoring before you arrive in New York
Travel and accomodation will be paid
